ICBC Rehab

Active Rehabilitation

Active rehabilitation as a treatment for injuries related to motor vehicle accidents can be covered through ICBC insurance, as long as the provider is a registered kinesiologist, physiotherapist or other professional recognized by ICBC. Keep in mind that in May 2021, the B.C. government and ICBC will be making changes to auto insurance in order to provide enhanced recovery benefits.

Private Rehab

Private Rehabilitation

We offer private rehabilitation if you require treatment outside of auto insurance or beyond what your workplace will cover. Most health insurance plans can provide some coverage, and MSP subsidies can assist with payments as well, if you are eligible.

  • You have had a workplace injury, or car accident injury, but have limited or zero coverage

Team Sport Training

Group Team Sport Training

Training styles required for team sports will differ from individual workout programs, due to the involvement of other people and the nature of the sport. Movement and directional changes, slowing down, speeding up, coordination, and defensive skills are required for an hour or more at a time, and one weaker player can result in a team loss. Getting team members together, on- or off-season, to practice these skills under the supervision and direction of a trainer will give them time to cooperate and coordinate, and ultimately work better together during a game.

  • You participate in, manage, or coach a team sport
  • You will be competing in sporting events
  • Multiple teammates are available to train together outside of games and practices

Health and Fitness Assessments

Everybody has their own unique fitness goals and lifestyles. No two people are the same. In order to make progress, it is first important to have an understanding of our current health and fitness level. The major components of fitness include muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, body composition, flexibility, coordination and balance. These are all areas that can be measured and improved upon in relation to our fitness goals. Other health factors, such as age, exercise and injury history, mental illnesses, and chronic health problems, are also taken into consideration to ensure safety and comfort. Depending on the needs of the individual, assessments can be basic or very intricate, and reassessments should be done to determine the success of the workout program.
